Aptec INGRAM MICRO receives 'BEST CHANNEL ENABLEMENT INITIATIVES’ Award  at RESELLER ME'S 2013 HOT 50
 
Dubai, December 09th, 2013 – Aptec,  an Ingram Micro company, one of the largest Value-Added distributors in the Middle East, Africa, Near East and Turkey, received ‘Best Channel Enablement Initiatives’ award  at Reseller Middle East’s 2013 HOT 50 awards ceremony, which was held in the H Hotel in Dubai, on 04th December 2013. The ceremony brought together all key stakeholders of the IT channel universe: vendors, distributors and resellers. Aptec team was thrilled to receive this award as recognition of it’s continues efforts in providing value-added services to the channel. 

“Channel Enablement is one of the pillars of IT distribution. We recognize importance of educating the channel on latest trends in Information Technology, on vendors’ product updates and new product releases, sales and technical skills enhancing. Our channel enablement and trainings calendar is very intensive and includes events and training sessions in all countries of the region with local based resources in each country. During 2013 Aptec conducted more than 400 enablement sessions in the region educating more than 3,000 individuals from 1,140 reseller companies.  We feel extremely proud to be recognized specifically for our “Channel Enablement Initiatives” this year, as both sales and marketing teams put a lot of effort in sharing the knowledge with reseller partners,” says Svetlana Sorokina, Regional Marketing Manager in Aptec – an Ingram Micro company.  

Channel Enablement and Training sessions are run by Aptec for resellers free of charge and are part of distributor’s annual Channel Enablement programs for specific vendor product or combination of products. One of the latest Channel Enablement initiatives of Aptec is to educate reseller on IT Solutions selling. “Solutions selling is one of the key strategic areas for Aptec as a Value-Added Distributor. Technologies like Cloud Computing, Data Center & Virtualization, Unified Communications, Mobility are becoming growth drivers in the IT industry but many resellers are too much specialized and they don’t always see the benefits of adding new product to the portfolio to form Solutions.  Our task is to educate reseller community and highlight those benefits of solutions selling,’ added Svetlana Sorokina.
